• 06What is the difference between a hotel PMS and a channel manager?+

  A PMS runs the inside of the hotel — the room chart, bookings, check-in and check-out, housekeeping and the bill. A channel manager keeps your rooms and rates in step on the online travel agencies (OTAs). In SutraStack the channel manager is built into the PMS: a booking from MakeMyTrip, Goibibo or any other connected OTA lands on the booking chart and lowers the rooms left on every other channel, so the last room is sold once.

• 07Is SutraStack GST-compliant?+

  Yes. Rooms are taxed where your property stands, so every room bill shows CGST + SGST for your state — even when the guest or travel agency is from another state. Tax slabs (5% up to ₹7,500 a night; 18% above) are applied automatically. PDF invoices include your GSTIN, HSN codes, and the Unicode ₹ symbol. For hotel groups, each property can have its own GSTIN.

• 08What is the GST rate on hotel rooms in India?+

  Since 22 September 2025, hotel rooms up to ₹7,500 a night are taxed at 5% (without input tax credit) and rooms above ₹7,500 at 18%. A room is taxed where the property stands, not where the guest comes from. SutraStack picks the rate for you and prints it on the GST invoice.
