Hotel PMS · Uttarakhand · From the hills next door
Hotel software for Uttarakhand.
SutraStack is hotel management software from the hills next door — built in Himachal, and researched in hotel lobbies across Uttarakhand before a line of code was written. It is made for how an Uttarakhand property fills: Delhi weekends in Mussoorie and Nainital, yatra groups on the road to the Char Dham, long stays in Rishikesh, and travel agents who sell your rooms in their packages.

— Area by area
From the Ganga to the glaciers.
A camp in Rishikesh and a lodge in Guptkashi share a state, not a guest. Pick your area to see who comes, when, and what SutraStack takes off your desk.

Rishikesh & Haridwar
Rishikesh, Tapovan, Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Shivpuri, Haridwar
- Why guests come
- Rafting on the Ganga from Shivpuri, the evening aarti at Triveni Ghat and Har Ki Pauri, the yoga schools and ashrams, and the International Yoga Festival every March.
- Who comes
- Yoga students from abroad who stay for weeks, rafting and camping groups from Delhi, pilgrims starting the Char Dham yatra, and families who come for the aarti and a dip in the Ganga.
- Busy months
- September – June; Haridwar peaks on festival bathing days and in the Kanwar Yatra
The hard part
A yoga student stays a month and pays week by week. In July the Kanwar Yatra fills Haridwar and puts diversions on the highways, while the rafting camps stand empty until the river opens again in September.
In SutraStack
Keep the month as one booking and record each week’s payment as it comes in — cash, UPI or card — so the balance is always clear. Close the camp’s monsoon dates on every channel at once, and open them again when rafting does.

Mussoorie & Dehradun
Mussoorie, Landour, Dhanaulti, Kanatal, Dehradun, Chakrata
- Why guests come
- The Mall Road and Kempty Falls, the old lanes and cafés of Landour, the camps of Dhanaulti and Kanatal, and the Winterline Carnival in December.
- Who comes
- Weekenders from Delhi and Chandigarh, families on school holidays, honeymooners, and wedding and office groups in Dehradun.
- Busy months
- Weekends all year, April – June, and Christmas to New Year
The hard part
Friday and Saturday sell out by Wednesday, and Sunday to Thursday sits half empty. A wedding in Dehradun wants twenty rooms for two nights, paid in parts.
In SutraStack
Set weekend and weekday rates once and SutraStack sends them to every channel. The wedding party is one booking with one bill, and each part-payment is recorded against it.

Nainital & the lakes
Nainital, Bhimtal, Sattal, Naukuchiatal, Bhowali, Mukteshwar
- Why guests come
- Boating on Naini Lake, the Mall Road and the Naina Devi temple, Snow View and Tiffin Top, Kainchi Dham on the road to Almora, and the orchards of Mukteshwar.
- Who comes
- Families and honeymooners from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Kolkata, school groups, and devotees on their way to Kainchi Dham.
- Busy months
- April – June, October, and Christmas to New Year
The hard part
On a long weekend the roads into Nainital jam and guests arrive hours late — or turn back. A no-show at ten at night still holds a room someone else wanted.
In SutraStack
Mark the no-show and the room goes straight back on sale on every channel. One room count runs MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, your website and the front desk, so the last room is sold once.

Corbett & Ramnagar
Ramnagar, Dhikuli, Marchula, Kaladhungi, Jhirna, Dhikala
- Why guests come
- Jeep safaris in the Bijrani, Jhirna and Dhikala zones, the Garjia Devi temple on the Kosi, and the resorts along the river at Dhikuli.
- Who comes
- Families and wildlife lovers from Delhi, office offsites and weddings at the resorts, and birdwatchers in winter.
- Busy months
- October – June, when the main safari zones are open; weekends and holidays sell first
The hard part
A company books thirty rooms for a three-day offsite and wants one invoice. Then three families add a safari jeep and a bonfire dinner, and pay at the desk.
In SutraStack
Book the offsite as one booking with one bill, GST worked out line by line. Safari jeeps, bonfire dinners and spa hours go onto the right room’s bill, and every payment is recorded as cash, UPI or card.

The Char Dham road
Barkot, Uttarkashi, Harsil, Guptkashi, Sitapur, Sonprayag, Ukhimath, Joshimath
- Why guests come
- The four shrines of the Char Dham — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath — and Hemkund Sahib and the Valley of Flowers off the road to Badrinath.
- Who comes
- Pilgrim families, busloads booked by yatra agents, senior citizens travelling in groups, and drivers and riders on long road trips.
- Busy months
- From the temples’ opening in April or May to their closing in October or November
The hard part
A yatra agent books eight rooms for one night, and the bus is stuck behind a landslide. Guests who do arrive leave for the temple at four in the morning, and every one of them wants the bill settled first.
In SutraStack
The agent’s eight rooms are one booking on the agent’s account; mark the no-show and every room goes back on sale. The bill is ready the night before — take the payment, print it, and nobody waits at the desk at 4 am.

Chopta, Auli & the high treks
Chopta, Sari, Auli, Joshimath, Ghangaria, Sankri
- Why guests come
- Tungnath and the Chandrashila summit, Deoria Tal, skiing at Auli, the Valley of Flowers, and the Kedarkantha and Har Ki Dun treks from Sankri.
- Who comes
- Trekkers and trek operators’ groups, students on winter snow treks, photographers, and families who want to see snow.
- Busy months
- Kedarkantha from December to April, the Valley of Flowers from June to October, and snow weekends at Auli
The hard part
A trek operator books six rooms for the night before a summit, pays later, and changes the headcount twice. Half your rooms are tents.
In SutraStack
Set up the tents as their own room type with their own rate, and keep the operator’s group as one booking on their account — what they sent, what they paid and what they still owe.

Almora, Kausani & Kumaon
Almora, Kausani, Ranikhet, Binsar, Jageshwar, Munsiyari, Chaukori
- Why guests come
- Sunrise on Trishul, Nanda Devi and Panchachuli from Kausani, the Binsar sanctuary, the temple town of Jageshwar, and the walks around Ranikhet.
- Who comes
- Families from Delhi and Kolkata, writers and people working remotely for weeks, and birdwatchers in Binsar.
- Busy months
- March – June and September – November
The hard part
Most properties are family homestays and small lodges. The owner takes bookings on WhatsApp, the power cuts out, and the accounts get done at night.
In SutraStack
Run it from the phone you already have — the chart, each guest’s bill and the day’s takings — on phone data when the power and the broadband go. Send guests your own booking link: they book and pay direct, and you keep the commission.

From yatra rush to monsoon, handled.
01
“A yatra agent in Delhi sends forty bookings a season and settles up after Diwali.”
Mark each booking as the agent’s and record their payments against it. Their account shows what they sent, what they paid and what they still owe — so the season ends with a number, not an argument.
02
“A yoga student from abroad checks in for a month, and Form C is due within 24 hours.”
Save the passport scan at check-in. You still file Form C on the FRRO portal; upload the copy to the booking and it stays with the guest for the whole stay.
03
“5% GST or 18%? And does a guest from Delhi pay IGST?”
Rooms up to ₹7,500 a night are billed at 5% and above that at 18%, worked out from each night’s rate. A room is taxed where it stands, so every bill shows CGST + SGST for Uttarakhand (state code 05) — for a guest from Delhi too.
04
“The last room on a long weekend, sold on MakeMyTrip and to a walk-in at the same time.”
A MakeMyTrip or Goibibo booking lands on your booking chart and the room count drops everywhere else. Through AioSell and eGlobe, the same count reaches Booking.com, Agoda and 100+ other OTAs.
05
“A landslide closes the road, and a whole day of arrivals cancels at once.”
Cancel each booking under your own cancellation terms, record any refund, and the rooms go straight back on sale for the guests who can still reach you.
06
“The owner lives in Dehradun or Delhi, and the only report is a phone call.”
At 6 am an email lists today’s arrivals, the guests staying on and the checkouts. Open SutraStack on your phone any time for bookings, money collected and rooms sold.
07
“New staff every yatra season, and nobody knows who changed a rate or took a payment.”
Give each person their own login with only the screens their job needs. Every change is recorded with who made it and when, and the owner sees it all in the audit log.
08
“Commission on every room — even for the families who come back every summer.”
Your own booking website takes bookings and online payments directly, with promo codes for repeat guests and quiet monsoon weeks. Share the link and keep the commission.
— More than a PMS
A channel manager, built in.
Most Uttarakhand properties sell through apps. SutraStack keeps every one of them in step with your front desk — one set of rates, one room count, and no extranet logins on a sold-out Saturday.
100+
OTAs your rooms can reach
- Direct
- MakeMyTrip and Goibibo
- Through AioSell and eGlobe
- Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia and 100+ more OTAs
01
One room count, everywhere.
A booking on any channel lowers the rooms left on every other one — and the front desk sees the same number. The last room is sold once.
02
Every rate from one screen.
Set season, weekend and festival rates once. Add a markup or a markdown for each channel, and SutraStack sends them out.
03
Close dates. Set minimum stays.
Stop selling the weeks you shut, or ask for two nights over New Year — on every channel at once, not app by app.
04
Your own booking website.
Guests book and pay on your own site with no OTA commission. Share the link on WhatsApp and Instagram, with promo codes for repeat guests.
— Your year in Uttarakhand
Yatra, monsoon, snow. One system all year.
What happens · Summer & yatra
The Char Dham temples open, and pilgrims fill every town on the way — Haridwar, Rishikesh, Guptkashi, Joshimath. The hill stations take the rest of the plains’ summer holidays.
In SutraStack
Raise rates for peak dates in one go, book a yatra group into several rooms as one booking with one bill, and keep MakeMyTrip and Goibibo in step so the last room is never sold twice.
What happens · Monsoon
Landslides close the roads to the hills and the Char Dham, rafting stops in Rishikesh, and bookings cancel at the last minute. Whole weeks go quiet.
In SutraStack
Record every cancellation and refund so nothing slips through, see the money collected each day, and fill quiet weeks with a lower rate or a promo code on your own booking website.
What happens · Autumn & Corbett
The yatra’s second season runs until the temples close for winter, Diwali brings families back to the hills, and Corbett’s safari zones reopen after the monsoon.
In SutraStack
Price festival nights on their own, see every night’s occupancy at a glance on the booking chart, and put lodge meals straight onto the guest’s room bill.
What happens · Winter & New Year
The Char Dham closes, snow brings weekend crowds to Mussoorie, Nainital and Auli, and New Year sells out in days. Rishikesh fills with yoga students who stay for weeks.
In SutraStack
Set a minimum stay over New Year, stop selling the dates you close, and keep each long-stay guest’s payments on one booking as they come in.

— Why hotels trust us
Simple to use. Easy to check.
People, not a ticket queue.
Message or call the team on WhatsApp. We set SutraStack up with you and train your staff, and the Support screen inside it shows who to call for your hotel.
Easy for every member of staff.
Each person gets their own login and sees only the screens their job needs, so a new hire learns a few screens, not the whole system — on the phone they already carry.
Every rupee explained.
Each bill lists every night, every extra and every payment, with the balance due always on screen. A guest never has to take anyone’s word for the total.
Every change on record.
Bookings, payments, refunds, bill charges and rate changes are saved with who made them and when. The owner can read the whole trail in the audit log.
Your data stays yours.
Each hotel sees only its own bookings and guests. Passport and ID scans are never on a public link and open only for signed-in staff. Accounts lock after repeated wrong passwords.

— Uttarakhand hoteliers ask
Questions, answered.
From Himachal Pradesh, the hill state next door. Sutra Stack Private Limited is registered there and was incubated at IIT Mandi Catalyst with funding from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Before writing a line of code, the team spent months in hotel lobbies across Himachal and Uttarakhand.
Since 22 September 2025, rooms up to ₹7,500 a night are taxed at 5% (without input tax credit) and rooms above ₹7,500 at 18%, split equally into CGST and SGST. A room is taxed where the property stands, so an Uttarakhand hotel charges CGST + SGST even to guests and agencies from Delhi or other states. SutraStack applies this automatically.
Yes. Book a group into as many rooms as it needs as one booking, with one bill — whether it is a family of six or a busload of pilgrims on the way to the Char Dham.
No — Form C is still filed on the FRRO portal within 24 hours of arrival. SutraStack records each foreign guest’s passport details and keeps the Form C copy with the booking, which matters most for long-stay guests in Rishikesh.
Yes, directly. Their bookings arrive on your booking chart, and your rates and available rooms are sent back from SutraStack. Through the AioSell and eGlobe channel managers, the same rates and rooms reach 100+ OTAs, including Booking.com, Agoda and Expedia. You also get your own booking website for direct bookings.
No. A four-room homestay in Mukteshwar uses the same SutraStack as a fifty-room hotel in Haridwar, on a phone. You only set up what you use.
Look for four things: a channel manager built in, so MakeMyTrip and the front desk never sell the same room twice; GST worked out at 5% or 18% on its own; a simple way to keep yatra groups together and agents’ accounts straight; and screens that work on a phone. SutraStack does all four, and it is made in Himachal, the hill state next door.
Yes. Multi-property is built in — no enterprise upgrade. One login opens every property, each with its own rooms, rates, staff access and reports.
SutraStack runs in the browser, so it needs a connection — there is no offline mode. Any connection will do, including your phone’s mobile data, so a hotspot keeps the front desk running when the broadband or the power goes.
Message us on WhatsApp or ask for a call back on this page. We will walk you through SutraStack on your own rooms and rates — about fifteen minutes, no credit card.
