01— About Sutra Stack

Who we are, ready to paste.

Use these as they are, or shorten them. Please don’t add claims we haven’t made — numbers, customers or awards.

In one line

Sutra Stack is a cloud hotel management system for homestays, boutique hotels and hotel groups in India, built by hoteliers in the Himalayas.

In a paragraph

Sutra Stack is a cloud hotel management system (PMS) for homestays, boutique hotels and hotel groups in India. The front desk, bookings, GST billing, a channel manager for MakeMyTrip, Goibibo and 100+ more booking sites, and a booking engine for direct bookings all work from one login, on a laptop or a phone. It was started in 2024 by people who have run hotels and lived in them. Sutra Stack is incubated at IIT Mandi Catalyst, funded by DST, Government of India, and recognised by DPIIT. Sutra Stack Private Limited is registered in Himachal Pradesh, India.

04— Logo rules

Room to breathe, and nothing added.

Clear space

Sutra Stack

Leave empty space around the logo at least as tall as the S in Sutra, on every side — more is better. Next to another company’s logo, give the two the same visual weight, with that space between them.

Smallest size

Sutra Stack logo at its smallest size
80 px · 20 mm
The S mark at its smallest size
16 px

Below 80 px wide on a screen (20 mm in print) the italic Stack gets too thin to read. Below that, use the S mark, never smaller than 16 px.

Please don’t

Sutra Stack
Don’t stretch or squash it.
Sutra Stack
Don’t change its colours.
Sutra Stack
Don’t add shadows, outlines or glows.
Sutra Stack
Don’t tilt or rotate it.
Sutra Stack
Don’t put it on a busy background.

Use only the files on this page. Don’t retype the name in our font, redraw the logo, or use an older Sutra Stack logo you may find online.

05— Colours

Midnight and Rust, mostly.

Midnight for words, Rust for the one thing that should stand out. Apricot takes Rust’s place on dark backgrounds.

  • Midnight

    #0B1020 · RGB 11, 16, 32

Text, and dark backgrounds. "Sutra" in the logo. 18.9 : 1 on white.

  • Rust

    #B8480C · RGB 184, 72, 12

"Stack" in the logo, links and highlights. 5.3 : 1 on white, safe for text.

  • Apricot

    #E8A479 · RGB 232, 164, 121

"Stack" on dark backgrounds. Use on Midnight only (9.0 : 1), never on white.

  • Cream

    #F6F1EB · RGB 246, 241, 235

Soft backgrounds for sections and cards.

  • Ember

    #E07B39 · RGB 224, 123, 57

Only the top of the S mark’s gradient, which runs Ember to Rust. Not for text.

  • White

    #FFFFFF · RGB 255, 255, 255

Backgrounds, and "Sutra" on dark backgrounds.

06— Fonts

Two typefaces.

Both are open-source (SIL Open Font License) and on Google Fonts. The logo is drawn from Fraunces, but it is a drawing — use the logo files, not typed text.

AaAa

Fraunces

Headings, quotes and the logo. Regular for most words; Italic Light for the few that carry the meaning.

AaAa

Inter

Body text, buttons and labels. Small labels go in capitals with wide letter spacing.

07— Our name

Two words, two capitals.

Sutra Stack

  • SutraStack(not this)
  • Sutrastack(not this)
  • Sutra stack(not this)
  • Sutra-Stack(not this)

Write Sutra Stack: two words, a capital S on each. The company is Sutra Stack Private Limited.

In the logo the two words sit close together, with Stack in italics. That is how the logo is drawn, not how the name is spelled — in a sentence, keep the space.

A headline set entirely in capitals can write SUTRA STACK, still as two words.
